Health Culture Depot is an information project focused on cultural competency and diversity in healthcare.

The premise is for the health care community to generate content that is easily accessible and available to all individuals and organizations committed to deepening their understanding about cultural competency in healthcare and contributing to others who are interested in deepening their own.

At the heart of this project is the possibility of eliminating health disparities and creating health equity. As the breadth of editors expands, it is vital that we hold on to this possibility as central to our development of this vehicle.

Since the information in Health Culture Depot is user generated, it is especially important that we do all that we can to add original articles, new research, and other relevant information that will provide insight for the community.

Therefore, if you are selected as an editor by your peers please pay homage to the heart of why we are here: the possibility of creating health equity.

Health Culture Depot is committed to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the information, articles, resources, and best practices generated by its editors.

In order to edit (add diversity/inclusion, and cultural competency-related content) you must be invited by a current editor.

In early October approximately 50 editors will be selected to start the HCD Editors' Group.

They will each have the opportunity to invite as many people as they would like to be a part of the HCD Editors Group.

All editors will be named and listed on the HCD Editors' Group page of HCD. If you are not open to this type of disclosure, you cannot edit the site directly.

You can however, send email to hcdeditors@gmail.com and your input will be considered and if accepted added by our editorial staff.

HCD only accepts material in which the author is the copyright owner.

Health Culture Depot is maintained with thoughtful attention of health professions graduate school interns.

In order to maintain HCD we ask you to contribute any amount you can. All proceeds will go towards the development, promotion, and maintenance of the site in order to continue growing the possibilities that it is creating in the field.
